The Casey Skudin 343 Fund was founded by Casey’s wife, Angela, to honor Casey Skudin’s memory by supporting the heroes who protect and serve through our holistic approach to healing in collaboration with partners who deliver alternative therapies.
Casey Skudin epitomized what it means to be a hero and family man. He was an adoring husband, a loving and devoted father, an incredible cousin and nephew, and a friend to all. With a highly decorated career in the FDNY spanning over 16 years, and as a lifeguard for the Town of Hempstead for over 20, Casey spent his life serving others. Casey was also a member of the FDNY mentor-mentee program and the FDNY Surf Rescue Unit. He was an incredible CrossFit coach, triathlete, avid cyclist, and fitness aficionado.
Casey’s life was tragically cut short when a tree fell on the family and their vehicle, injuring his children and killing him. The devastation and pain of Casey’s loss to his family, friends, and anyone who ever came into contact with him has been indescribable.
Casey was a lifesaver to many during his time here on Earth. Through his fund he continues to be, guiding us every step of the way and continuing his mission to ensure all first responders and their families have access to what they need in times of crisis.
Casey lived a life of honor, bravery, service, accomplishment and duty. His legacy to inspire, support and save lives will continue.
Angela, Founder and CEO of the Casey Skudin 343 Fund, has first-hand experience of the transformative power of psychedelic-assisted therapies and plant medicines. After Western medicine had failed to heal Angela from Lyme Disease, co-infections and a series of other health challenges that were financially draining and completely debilitating, rendering her bedridden for over a year, Angela turned to alternative healing out of desperation.
After a long journey, Angela’s health was fully restored and she has been prescription free and back to her active self since 2022.
The plant medicine and alternative healing modalities gave Casey his wife back, Ben and CJ their mom back and Angela her life back.
After losing her loving husband, Casey, Angela founded The 343 Fund to pay forward Casey’s ‘never give up’ attitude and unconditional love and support for others’ healing and wellness.
Our grant supports and facilitates treatment for first responders and their families who need access to psychedelic-assisted treatments in high-quality programs established in countries where these treatments are legal, but still unregulated.
We’re here to support you on your journey to better mental health. Our process is designed to create strong foundations for healing trauma and related mental health challenges. We work with you to find the right treatment and continue supporting you post-treatment.
Our program and practitioner partners share our belief that the mind, body and soul are all critical to long-term recovery and success. They are experts in alternative treatments, including psychedelics, for healing.
